@baghdad kebab----i would love to play you in a sim-pro match--ive really got my work cut out ahead of me against murda mindstate---i dont know if i can beat him with my sim-pro set up....but, i will try and knock him out so, you and i can have our first chance at winning a challenger event

@djarvik---i saw that you were watching a movie for like 4 hours last night...was gonna ask if you wanted to play, but did not bother you

BTW i think murda quit the tour---i saw he had a loss due to a walkover yesterday july 23rd.....he wrote me a message saying that he was thinking of quitting the tour---i told him not to, and i have not heard from him since....so, if anyone hears from him or see him tell him we have to play our match by tomorrow

I think he's probably sad that everyone tore apart his game in that other thread.
He seems like a good kid (we played Rockband together once, that was fun :D), but like a lot of others I don't like playing against him in Topspin either...

He just registered for one of the tourneys I am hosting :P Still here.

I think he just didn't play the match because if he would win, he would have to play me. And apparently I am the "core of all evil" and he promised me a WO next time we meet.

You don't have to be hitting RT risk constantly. If you sliced less and at better times and swapped those shots for some harder B or A shots then you will hit more winners, but you are becoming more aggressive as time goes on. But yeah, you could incorporate more RT into your game.

Baghdad Kebab has a winning strategy already - net rushing  Nah seriously I felt like he was just experimenting with it in an exhibition match that we had the other day but his net play was awesome. I mean he was coming in to the net on pretty much every shot with an absolute wicked slice approach every time so it was really difficult to do any thing with the ball so he had an easy volley to put away. I think if he continues to develop his game along this route than he will be very difficult to beat as I don't think many people, like myself, are comfortable in dealing with net rushers. I was completely caught out as I HATE using lobs as I find them so unreliable.

I played Baghdad Kebab in an exhibition set today. I ended up winning 7-6. He didn't really have much of a play during my service games, but I felt like I was in many of his. I just couldn't actually get the break. He does approach the net well and he has great volleys. His serve is good, too. It was close, but I never felt in danger of losing.

Played Kebab again earlier tonight and he won 6-7 7-6 6-3 in a thriller 8) So many twists and turns in our matches - I broke first in the opening set only to be broken back immediately. I managed to grind my way through the tiebreak though. Early in the second set, Kebab pounced and broke my serve but I managed to get it back on even terms again and so the set went to another tiebreak with my opponent coming out on top this time. Onto the 3rd set where it was closely fought until 3-4 when Kebab got the crucial break and served it out for the win. I just wish my ITST matches could be as fun and lag-free as the exhibitions.
Played Coolhand in my ITST match and well it wasn't a match at all coz I couldn't move, wasn't allowed to time the serve and had a 2 second delay reaction when trying to return  So frustrating

Alright Pal,

Congratulations on your win.

You reckon i got what it takes to beat Copa08 in the International German Open?

As you know he beat me 7-6, 6-3 in the only time we played last week, but perhaps he was just better on the day. Cos me & u are quite equal standard wise so hopefully if you can get one over o him i can too 8)

Played an exhibition with djarvik, and was able to win 7-6, 7-6, dont really remember the stats, but we both were trying new things. He was trying a new camera angle, and i was using a new player, my jesse levine.

It was a fun match, with some pretty decent rallies, especially in the last tiebreak. He has perfected his drop shots, very nicely, you will have to be on the watch out for them

I can see djarvik's drop shots coming from a mile away

Just kidding.

Kind of.

Seriously though, I like the drop shots in this game and I feel like I'm just now starting to really get the hang of it. It's pretty difficult to hit a good drop shot in this game because you must commit to it before you're really sure exactly what shot is coming...or at least I do, because I generally press the shot button as my opponent is hitting his shot.
