Our plans are to modify Cannon and Bash (and possibly 1-2 others) after the Australian Open. We had really hoped to change them before, but it would have been too rushed, and would not have been fair to anyone who was planning to use Cannon or Bash.

We will announce the changes near the end of the Aus. Open, and the changes will take effect at the start of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament (Feb. 8th) - roughly 2 weeks after the announcement.

It's not ideal having to change Cannon and Bashmakov, but I think it is best way forward... Hopefully that will be the final change. Thanks for listening to us

Cannon and Bashmakov need to be modified. Unless, we want the PS3 sim tour to be 90% Cannons & Bashmakovs, I suggest this happen real soon. It is absolutely pointless to play any other characters against these 2.

If you take a very good player (like Pocho) and give him a Cannon or a Bashmakov, it is pointless to choose any other characters. Take two players close in skill and one has either Cannon or Bash, that one will ALWAYS win.

I'm not complaining about my loss, I'm just stating a fact. As more and more players lose using bishops, grays, naka's, lopez, bucci, lorenz, etc..... eventually we're gonna all turn to bashmakov or cannon.

I totally love the idea of the SIM tour and will continue to support it. i hope this comes across to ITST as constructive input and nothing more.

Yeah me and fedfan had a terrific match yesterday as lorenz vs burns, which i managed to win, however im pretty confident that if fedfan had used cannon, i would have lost.

you will change the characters during the tour has started?
at all i think its not the best thing to change the simplayer permanently during the tour -all player where use this characters over the last time have than a big dissadvantage !!

when this are the last changes in sim its not a big deal -only when changes comes week for week !

a tourplayer works hard for figuring out any advandage in his game .
and when he figured out a good way to play ,
he must begin from beginning when the characterstats change again and again !

not everyone have 10 hours daily to practice ,to figure out how to play a completly new player with new stats!!

when by beginning the tour something will be changed i think its okay -but not week for week a new disscusion about new changes !!

We made the list on November 30th. Since then, we have made one change (this will be the second). That's hardly week for week, and we don't expect to change them again.

On top of that, the changes have been small.

You can take away my power, volley and return, and maybe stamina.

Well no shit, most of us don't play 10 hours a day. My point was that any frustration or adjustment period seems like a small price to pay for having a fairly substantial advantage up to this point.

That said, I agree that any changes are problematic and a finalized list before the start of the year would have been ideal. But better to change/fix problems early (like now) than watch the tour devolve into Cannon v. Bashmakov for 30 matches per tournament.

i agree , in fact its better to change now -before FRENCH OPEN have started !

but one thing -i see no problem when everyone use the same best player .
they look all different ,and all player have a different timing ,a different style !!
so there is nothing boring with it to use same player

What about Burns?

85 serve, 89 speed, 79 fh, and 54 power.

There's also Thompson and Sixx.
