Thanks, he used tompson, it was mainly the great speed which meant he could get in position to get that little more pace in the ball, and put it in a difficult position for me, great tactics. when i had chance to set and put pressure on him a few backhands failed for him but i couldnt get those chances enough. i tried to chip and charge but he managed to pick me off or i would mishit the return. but if i got in a good net position i could take control which surprised me given the 90 speed stat.

But alex is a very tough player, i think hes in the sim masters cup so theres a lot of positives i can take away, need a few more matches too.

with my new sim guy B.Cannon i won against some guy named luxcandco( i don't remember the name) the score was 6-0 6-0. first set had a lot of deuces but i won the points when i needed them and had 100 % first serves in 8) . the second set i was losing my serve so i had to revert to tapping r2 then i got my serve back and fired up 13 aces

I think what you guys are seeing is what gave us our "eureka" moment. We realized we liked all of the setups, but we didn't love any of them. They all have some weakness you must learn to play with. If we loved them, it would be the the setups we would create if the only goal was winning - which wouldn't be an improvement.

I think the word being thrown around the forum lately was:

errrmm he had chances and i had to save a couple of BP's but nothing out of the ordinary. He hit a GREAT return to get the minibreak in the tiebreak though. Im not concerned about volleying when there is 'good weather conditions' (lag) :D thats the one thing im confident in especially with 87 in that stat. Of course we played 2 1 set matches rather than a 3 set, but we have similar stamina so would probably have followed the same path.

Bashmakov i think will be a paper tiger. if you play properly he'l never have the position to release that power. Bishop looks good but low serve will hurt. Lorenz might be interesting he looks like a poor man's federer. I might try cannon or nakamura, never used someone with that high return though so could be interesting.

I do get bullied in the WT by some RT-LT power returners or even by ITST 90 guys.

With Sixx and bucci.

I do pretty well. Hit some great shots but I mostly will get forced into error

But no suprise there really. :-)

I like h. tompson. There are plenty of others i want to try out: Nakamura, lopez, House and bishop(though ive never tried such a low serve stat, hope rt lt serves still work out),Damn you ps3 and only being able to have 4 players stocked!

sim will be much more interesting next season though, kudos to all those that came up with this .

Yeah the idea rocks :-)

Anyways played Chederer. He played Nakamura I played Sixx. Got bullied around mostly . Though got more winners and actually won. But could hardly hold on to anything.

He is so small its hard to return. 4 me . :-)

His return were deep and kept me defending mostly. But I could hustle in some rallies to get the point in the end .

He was hitting harder but his speed was killing me.

Its nice to see anyone can beat anyone with any setup.

B. Cannon looks like a character I would use. Pretty close to the Soderling I use now

For the moment SIXX is working best for me

I made him look like myself and his height and weight is te same as me.

And I feel he moves like me. Speed wise.

I can hardly remember if I had a good fh or bh or whatever as its too long ago , but I do remember I used to piss people off by getting everything back.

Sounds like we are identical on the tennis part Anil, except that I still play.

Height and weight of Sixx is identical to me too, and if you switch the return and volley stat, and balance the speed and stamina, you'd have me (well, I'll never reach the 70-level of course :D)

I'm gonna try him this week.

I am happy with him. He feels like a sportsman . Not so clumpsy. But he is very small though. Hard to play with somehow.

Sixx is one of my favourites too, the only problem is the high stat on volley, maybe this is a good moment to finish my plays at the net.
I need high speed, i´m use to it, so Sixx is a good candidate
