yes same applies to me, The backhand slice approach works mighty fine for me, although a FH cross court does the job often too.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but in case it hasn't...

The reason we are requiring members to use the first initial of a chosen character, and not a full first name, is that it will allow you to create, and save, different versions of the same character.

As I'm sure you know, the game doesn't allow one to save multiple copies of a player with the same name. The requirement of an initial-only solves this problem (especially helpful to those who don't own a memory card).

For example: If you create Bob Cannon, but later would like to see how he would perform using his opposite hand - or with less muscle/more fat - you can create and name your subsequent character, Bill Cannon. The game will allow you to save both - and when you take either online - both will be seen as "B. Cannon."

I have just tested 2 players:
bucci against bishop.I like bucci...68sp-90st is great for my defensive game.58 bh or fh it's not a problem.for me his weakness is a "normal"sv & re.I need to stay more concentrate on my sv game because it's hard to break someone....

lopez against thompson.Lopez it's very good.he has not particular weakness...it's easy to use...very good!

thx soundfsilence

I've just tried T. Striker and he sucks. He's far too slow for S&v.

was just going to say that, played alex. because striker has no basline weapon and low return and low speed you are simply dominated from the baseline. I could hold my own on own service games but may as well have sat down on his lol, you get dinked about from side to side until he's uncapable of reaching a ball and hits a forced error. was fun games though.

Damn you're an annoyingly good volleyer. The only way i could return without giving you the point was some wide angled topspins.

Never played against a s/v before, i had fun :)

haha thanks the bit of lag made me struggle to get some good 1st serves in, i had to take a bit off it lol. on your service games i just tried to get to the net anyway i could hence the chip and charging :)

and the return you done for the minibreak in the tiebreak was top drawer

Sounds like a good S&V guy to me to be honest. I think you'll slowly get to the point that you will be able to win. It will just take some adjusting.

Hes good for his own serve, he's a little slow getting to the net but he has good wingspan and i can volley ok so hitting a few on or just behind the service line is alright for me. but i'd happy swap the power and speed stats, just to get in a better position on the baseline quicker but im probably nit picking. and of the two sets we played i had a break point in the first but lost it 6-3, second much closer and lost on a tiebreak but was only 1 point in it, think alex got 40 to my 39, so its not like i was destroyed or anything. and it was fun. but i'd like to see someone win tournaments with him :)

Sounds promising to be honest. If you felt you were having trouble but still have such a close match.

Who did he play?

I sorta agree with Anil. SVers usually struggle on return games, especially against nowadays power hitters, or worse, speed demons.

I actually happy that you were able to be so close to Alex, who seems to be a very hot player right now.

I also believe that SVers must risk about 50% of returns and generally go for more on return games. If you have the opportunity to hit the ball on return games, by all means hit it and make it count.

I would be concerned if you said you had tough time holding your serve.

As for half volleys by SV players, well, they hit many, many, many of them  Rob is very good at half volley, maybe he will better explain this whole thing then me :P Rob ?
