djarvik and me played two matches last night, while i tested out a new player. The first one was tight and he won 7-6,7-6. I had 9 breakpoitn oppurtinites and couldnt get one. His serve stepped on those break points though.
The second game he took 6-2,6-4. I was having mahor problems with my new serve animation in this match. djarvik played really well here, with his risk shots hitting them deep and making me run all over the place. His returns with my not so good serve creeated a lot of long games on my serve.
Good match djarvik :D

Next time though, i wont let 9 oppurtinities slip away

10 days ago I wrote I played my best match ever against SoundfSilence, but that record has just been beaten by my match against Fagui_56, don't know his ITST-name.

Anyway, I was playing my Serve&Volley-player, he was playing with a powerful baseliner.

I got two breaks in the first set to take a 3-0 lead. Then he broke me but I went on to take the set 6-4.

Second set was very close, no service breaks. He got 4 breakpoints, but I served/volleyed them away. I didn't get any opportunities to break.
In the tiebreak I took an early minibreak, but that gave me a heartattack, and it gave him the opportunity to take the minibreak back. He then rushed on to a 7-4 win.

The 3rd set was again very close. No breaks, so another tiebreak.
I almost ate my controller when I he got an early minibreak, he went on to get a matchpoint on 6-5 with him serving. But somehow he missed an easy groundstroke into the semi-open field.

Then it just went on without any minibreaks, until 11-11. Then somehow I missed a not too difficult volley. I hope I didn't wake my neighbours with my yelling. Then unfortunately for me he took the tiebreak 13-11.

Final score: 6-4 6-7(4) 6-7(11)

I do not play this game, but I must comment about the scoreline and DEAD close stats snapshot.

Amazing guys. You must have been pulling your hair out!! I see a lot of winners for both of you. 1/10 breaks converted for one and 2/3 for the other!

Epic match for you both!!

Has anybody played Rob's new baseline player?

played him in world tour last night and he took it 3-1,3-1. His game is very consistent and i had trouble forcing errors ro getting a winner for the most part.

 I had told Rob many times, that if he decides to play baseline, he will be a BEAST.

Rob has the serve, he is one of the smartest players on the tour and he is a great "match" player. One thing he has that I wish I had (well, not including serve) Is finishing the point, I tend to over think, overdo in rallies.

I would say that with a little more practice, Rob is looking at a #1 position. No joke.

To answer your question: Yes, I played him, while our games were extremely close, he has won all of them so far  I need 1-2 more matches Rob, and then I'll start winning

he has 90 overall

Basic baseliner with big serve. Think Seth, but with more variety on serve.

I have 85 on fh/bh, 90 on power and serve, 80 on speed. The rest are 40-50.

But this is temporary. Ill be going back to serve and volley eventually.

How about a baseliner for Roland Garross and SV for Wimbledon?

You then have a chance to take both!

I'll play baseline until I win a tournament, or until Wimbledon, whichever comes first.

There's just still so many things I need to improve on my baseline game, and I don't get enough practice when I come to net on half of the games.

Would be cool to watch a game between you 2 with Robs new setup. Hopefully they'll include a spectator mode in TS4. ;)

I can record it and post it on youtube. I meant to record my ITST match with retos, but we played earlier than planned and I didn't have it ready.

Please record our match dude! Next time we play!

I find our matches VERY entertaining, well, for me at least.

Plus I would love to see myself play on back court.

Played Rob yesterday - he completely shocked me in the first set and took it something like 6-4 (but scored around twice as much points as me, I had to fight for every single serving-game, while he served love games all the time) - I was lucky then to win the 2nd in the tie-break, and could somehow break him once in the last set to win it 6-4 - he was by far the better player and scored more points though, I really don't know how I could beat him!

Robs serve is great, but his returns are even better, IMO the best besides Anteros - those guys manage to cover both sides against me serving, and I really don't understand how that is possible - Rob, I hate you, please switch back to your SV-Char next time we play on ITST!!!

That was definitley a strange match. At the end though, you strung together some good returns to break me, while I just couldn't convert on my chances.

I was hating you after that match too.

Honestly, I think my serve sucks right now, considering I have 90 on serve and how I used to serve. But I can't complain; I've only been using my current serve animation for like 4 days now.
