After playing couple of match...I like more Lorenz rather than Bishop...
It surprises me as i thought Bishop was Nalby-esque...And i played "well" with Nalby...
But i'll definitly try other set up...I'll try Gray,Bucci and Striker firsts...

We will not fixing a player for the season. Part of the fun is to be able use different setups on different surfaces and different tournaments. No one should feel like they got "stuck" with a bad setup.

Also, logic dictates that if you advance to the next round by wining a match, you will keep the "winning formula" in form of a player setup ;)

So both both kinda take care of themselves without need for involvement from us.

BTW - I am all for announcing setups in forums before each tournament. Not in a mandatory way, but rather in a free will way...to give more depth and strategy to the tournament. So feel free to create these guys!

One more thing, make sure when you test the setups you test them against each other, not 40-90 or worse, WT. The players are meant to be balanced against each other. You can also play against a pro in game.

Do you mean some new set up are to come?...
Could we do something around my "Cobra"?...I kinda did very well with it!

Well this has certainly enticed me back to the sim tour. I think it is going to be a great success and there seems to be a good, balanced selection to choose from 8)

 No, I meant creating a Thread for each tournament were people would post the player they intent to use for that tournament.

Setups once tested by all of us will be set in stone for a period of 1 year, a full ITST Sim season.

Ok, the strongest players IMV are:

1: Bishop - Combined FH, BH, PW is 228 (2nd highest), Decent Speed. Excellent return.. Only weakness is serve, so against a good returner he will get broken, but he will create many chances to break.

2: Thompson - Fast, will get everything back. Decent power. Has one extremely weak wing, but with his speed he should be able to get in good position to hit a decent shot (or risk).

3: Lopez - Highest combined FH, BH, PW 229. Nice all round. Probably the easiest to use

These are only from first look, Bishop's the toughest one IMV.

Forgot to say well done guys for creating the list, looks like a lot of thought has gone into it. Hope people think before they start bashing the tour after a handful of matches, I think it will take the majority quite a while to settle into a setup.

Will be interested to see who picks what, hopefully we will have a good mix rather than only 4/5 setups being used by everyone.

No new setups for the moment.

Anyways played my first sim match against a simmer.

Both matches were very funny.

But my opponent Matheja didn't have power hitters.

I used first N. Sixx and then after F. Bucci.

The nice thing about both matches were being able to get to many balls from both sides.

Not needing to risk all returns. Build up points....etc

N. Sixx is a very dangerous player. extremly fast and hard to counter foot. A dark horse if I may say.

Oh Bashmakov looks very strong and he might be very dangerous. But like Djarvik said if you get the ball back in play you do have a chance to get into the rally. Once that's the case his strenght is not as good anymore.
He is slow and easy to get off balance.
So a few short angles and the point is yours.

I like him as setup but he is not my favo to use ever. But he defo needed to be in this roster. Cause many people like big servers but the rest of the big server profile never added up. He does.

I agree, dark horse for sure. To counter you just have to hang in the points, hopefully drain his stamina to cause errors
