Won an epic againts MathRebel today, 4-6 7-6(3) 6-2, lasted around 1hr 10, i was Tompson, he was Nakamura.

Overall i didnt feel great out there and he COMPLETELY outplayed my, but i gritted my way through and took full advantage of a few lapses in concentration by MathRebel. There were some awesome points.

1st Set- He immediatly breaks convincingly to 15 and then hold to 30.I then up my game and start holding easily and at 3-2 i manage to earn a break point, he played an outwide serve and i returned it down the line, he misstimed his FH and i pounced on the weak ball and attacked until he caved, breaking him. Then with me serving at 4-4 he opens up a 15-40 lead, i save the first but he takes the second and then serves it out to love.

2nd Set- He breaks me again in my first service game after getting love forty, i saved 1 or 2 b.p tho. He then held and opened up 15-40 on my serve at 0-2, i only just saved them and then we both got a lot of advantages but the other kept bringing it back to duece. I was being reall outplayed and struggling and only just managed to hold after a long game. At 3-2 i manage to get another 30-40 and get the break aftr a good return set up the point nicely. We both then held until the breaker.
I go up an early mini break but he managed to claw it back, i then go up another at 3-5 for 3-6 and won the next point on his serve to take it 7-3.

3rd Set- I thought the last set would up my game and damage his but i was wrong and this set continued much the same as the other sets, with me just holding on and him dominating, earning a few b.p but i held on. However at 4-4 on his serve i managed to earn a break point when i got 30-40. He tried to serve and volley off an outwide serve, i hit a flat down the line return and he hit the FH volley long. I then served it out after a tough game.

You summed it up there MathRebel. Really hard luck. I don't know if you've played coke4 before, but he is a nightmare for S & V... He hits crazy passing shots (ITST TV to come on this  )

I got some sweet revenge over jfcbpp and beat him 6-2 6-3, I was Bishop he was Gray, his short slice was less effective as I could run and catch most of them and generally won the points when he used slice. I played well at the net, not hitting winners directly but constantly getting to all balls and waiting for him to hit the lob for me to smash away.

So, me and coke had a battle today. I was burns, he was thomson. i came out the blocks quickly, and broke in the 1st game, then held to go 2-0 up, however the next two games went to coke due to some extremely diabolical SV'ing from me.

At 2-2, we both had chances on each others serve and hit some classic shots, me some good volleys and him some shots i had to shceck the repaly to make sure they were even in. it went with serve though, and at 4-4 i managed to get the crucial minibreak and serve out the set.

the next set, i was really firing, i got to 0-30 on the 1st 3 of cokes service games but could capitalise on his rapidly failing 1st serve % as his second serve i couldnt. He just rolled it in to my backhand and my lack of power either meant
A. i hit it wayy to shot and he would pumell it away
B. I had to risk return and would either win the point or hit it out

all the while holding quite well, in the tiebreak however i got passed by some quality shots and couldnt get the minibreaks back, my volleys started to get a bit brittle at the end of the second which made me tentative, although the passes of coke was getting better ad better.

In the 3rd, i again started well. My serve was getting better and better even with rapidly decreasing stamina. at 4-4 i got to 0-30 again. after losing the next two points, some good attacking play got me a break point at 4-4. coke demolished this and i lost the game, and unfortunatley the next game, coke hit 3 phenomenal returns, i was 0-40, tried to SV again, and got passed.

Final score 7-6, 6-7, 4-6

not too bothered though, i made one of the very best players on the ps3 tour uncomfortable and have to drag out his very best tennis. Also, the way i kept asking the passing question of "pass me. pass me again. again. again. agian. again. ad nauseum" on ever point i could i think unsettled him and i was volleying very well.

That being said. he found a way to win as the good players always do and much credit for that. It was a completely fair game, no short slices, no iffy returns, no lobs even. It was just a test of who was the better player and he came out on top. I could have played no better. brilliant match.

Very good game Villa, you volleyed extremely well and as a result i struggled to get rythms on my passing shots, also between your S&V style that i find hard to find a rythm against from the baseline and due to your speed/defence i was being broken down from the back of the court a lot.
I honestly felt the third set would be quite easy but i was wrong, you managed to regain composure and for the most part play extremely well. I was lucky to comethrough.

Maximo and Alex beat me 7-6 6-3 Maximo was Nakamura and Alex was Gray. It's the closest I've ever come to beating the both of them so I'm pretty pleased with the matches. With Maximo I had a set point in the tie break but couldn't convert it and than he broke in the second and I couldn't do anything else because he was overwhelming me with his shots. Against Alex I had quite a few break points but I couldn't convert them because he varied his serve well. I had a 1/9 on breakpoints he was 2/4. My serve seemed to be going pretty well but I started to not be able to read his backhand towards the end of the first set and all of the second, I never knew whether it was going to be a DTL or a cross court. I than played AndyMachine and beat him 6-1 6-0 as usual when he plays well I can't beat him at all but when he plays badly I do win. He risked himself out of the match and I stayed consistent waiting for the errors to come, because it's very difficult to get on the offence against him.

Lost to Petrelli 7-6 3-6 7-6. It was such a hard fought match from the both of us, in the first set I had around 4 set points at 5-4 on his serve, one of them I missed an easy volley to the open court!! In the tie break, a big return gave him the mini break and he held on. The second we were both going for our returns and barely held serve but a few holds here and there gave me the set. Now off to the third, me serving for the match he plays one of his best return games in the whole match and it goes back on serve. Goes to a tie break I open up a 4-1 lead he wins every single point afterwards. Petrelli fought through the whole match and I applaud him for not giving up and staying in the match. I played well but I got a bit too overconfident in the end thinking he would just give up but he didn't and before I knew it I was in a bad situation. I won 116 points he won 112, I think this goes to show a few points here and there really can change a match.

Fun match otlichno, really enjoyed it. When I broke you quickly in the first set I thought that set was mine but you played amazing and came back, and it was almost the same story in the second set.

Anyway I'm trying out striker for shiggles, hit me up on psn if youd like a match except coke and his damn passing shots

EDIT: Got my first demolition, lost 6-2 6-1 or something to marlon (and he obviously wasn't even playing at 50%)

Someone help me improve! :x
