I beat ovhij 6-4 6-0 I was Bucci he was Cannon. I was just pounding away at his serve and hitting my shots with allot of variety changing the spin and depth of my shots. The first set was tough but after that I hit 95% of my shots with the L2 trigger on so I got more winners. There was quite a lot of lag but I was able to cope with it and I guess he wasn't.

One of my personal records fell tonight, but to a good player, i lost my 1st ever SV vs SV match to soundofsilence. The 1st set i was completely outplayed, player didnt react to any volley just let them drift by and his serve and return and volley was working so well i wondered if i'd even get a game, i lost the 1st set 2-6, and that was generous.
The second i forced myself to up my game and it was closer, i noticed that (going to give myself a huge handicap here) that as burns has super anaemic strength lightman could just roll in mega slow topspin serves and while i could return quite accurately, he had so much time to get in a good position that his 1st volley was so authoriative i had no chance.
That being said i started to use these tactics instead off firing 130 mph bomb that left me jammed as i had not enough time to get to net, but with less success as lightman has more power so could get more pop on the return.
However i had set point in the 2nd at 6-5 him serving, but couldnt take them and lost the tiebreak badly. as i was low on confidence i was gonna leave but sound convinced me to rematch,

the 1st set in the rematch i was just about clinging on, especially in the very first game fending off about 6 BP's over the set and not making much of a dent on lightmans apart from 1 BP. However in the tiebreak i played uite sloid using the slow topspin serve tactics and made good volleys, and FINALLY sound missed a coupel and i managed to take the set, this give me confidence and i started risk returning on his games just to get some beef on the returns, and they gradually started clicking and i got a break, and was holding a little easier on my own serve, while i was chipping away at his games. at 5-3 his serve i broke again to win, luckily after a marathon.

In conclusion (lol) i managed to win one game but i struggled immensely, and even in the 2nd match i thought sound was the better player, it was luck that he missed some volleys i managed to break. but you should hear his views on the matches too :D

By the way, i still have one record i'm clinging onto, something that has never happened to me in my entire top spin 3 career, either in friendlys or in ITST.....

I've never lost a match that's gone to the 5th :)

Fantastic Matches Villa.

When we played the first match, I had just come from the most disappointing loss of my ITST career. I took my frustration out by storming through the first set  My returns were hit cleanly, your fast serves went back just as fast.

2nd set you upped your game and varied your serves. You were hitting volleys now (whereas the first, your player either didn't react or the returns were too good).

The second match, you found your rhythm. Your first volleys were much much better. I put a lot of pressure on your serves, but I never felt like there was a clear chance for me so well played.

I loved the way you finished the match with your first matchpoint. I hit a fairly decent 2nd serve, but you punished it going down the line all out risk winner.

I'm happy, as it's the first time that I ever won a match against you :c

thanks, i wan't aware thats the 1st time you beat me. I chose a clay court, due to my arguement before, and to be fair over 4 sets of serve-volley play there was only 4 breaks, i've had that in 1 set while playing sim (dont ask but its happened :) )
To be honest lightmans FH is like 52? and you was ripping the returns and passes, i didn't have a chance in that very 1st set, i may as well have been playing a 100-30 player. My burns is quite quick but you was hitting the return when i was still in no mans land just due to the speed and the quality of returning, i swear in our video'ed match when you was with gray with 90 return you didnt return half as well.
the only other player who has really dominated my burns like that is brgerflipr, and that was plain scary.
the second set was more competitive but i always felt like i was on the back foot, and in the second match until i broke i felt the same too. Thats the "joy of sim" i suppose, you never feel comfortable. Th main thing that bothered me was it took 3.5 long sets of play to even get a read on your serve, let alone get some power and direction on it, need to work on that especially for the clay season.

played andmann666 and won 6-1 7-6
1 set i break with a series of not missing l2 and he made a few unforced errors her and there.
2nd set was different i couldnt break because he hit very hard and low slices the messed up my l2 making me hit the ball up in the air then he would pound but i made a few lucky returns in the tiebreak and closed it out

I lost to Apathetically 6-4 and to Kyuuji 6-3 6-3 I was playing as Bashmakov Apathetically was Cannon and Kyuuji was House. I wanted to try out mixing up my characters every tournament until I finally win one so I'm starting with Bashmakov and I'll be going through the roster to find my perfect character. In both matches I got broken early but had MANY chances to break back but failed. Which is a good thing because with Bucci I had NO chances to break back. There both top class players and they stuck to there guns no matter how hard I was fighting to get back into the match. But I'm especially surprised that I put up a fight against Kyuuji, the last time I played him he beat me 6-0 6-0.

played kyuuji and won 6-2 6-1
1 set; i was taking advantage of his one-hander by hitting very deep shots and i made alot of r2 l2 shots too.
second set he holds one game then i start going for my shots and putting pressure on his serve and he made a few double faults because he hasnt played in 2 weeks.

good match kyuuji hope u get back in shape :D

Well, it shows I lost a little my game as I never lost so easily against him.
