5'9" is the way to go lol. Are there any benifits being 5'9" as opposed to a towering monster I would assume more agile but big mofo run fast. I don't think I'll change height tho.

Firstly, what 6"9 people run fast?
Secondly, you do realise weight doesnt make much of a difference unless its really heavy

Well the have reach so they dont need to be as fast as nadal and them  and weight does make a difference if ur guy is 6'9 weighing at 150 he doesnt even need speed cuz hes light and can get to alot of shots where as if he was 190-ish he would need some more stats on speed.

Unfortunatly, this is not true for this game

Very Unfortunate

It starting to look like "someone" is looking to justify his height because it helps him reach ALL the balls  :P

I've said it 1000 times before, so I'll say it again. 6'9" is silly.

Personally, I don't care whether my opponent is 6'9 or 5'6, the same way I don't care if he risk slices/risk returns/ serves out wide 90%. I've come to expect it and to me MS is the gamers tour, which is fun in its own way, its a different challenge. If I played better with my old 6'9 then my current 6'4 I'd use the 6'9. So to everyone i say: Play the way you want to with the setup you prefer.

MSS is different, I do get annoyed at someone playing a sim tour in a way that is not sim. Why play it if you dont want to simulate real life tennis :?

Very true Alex. But aren't 40-90 tour also tennis? ...or it is a complete different sport? ....I think there has to be a general understanding what tennis is. I mean we are playing a tennis game after all. SIM is meant to be "closer" to realism....but does that automatically means that 40-90 now has nothing to do with tennis? ....I don't think so.

But, to each his own. That is why instead of arguing, I simply play SIM only now....40-90 still brings me a LOT of fun, but all I need is one sour match and I completely lose interest. Not so much in sim.

I was like you, with the not-so-sim matches making me want to quit MS. I even said at the beginning of the year that I would'nt play any tournament except the slams. I had some amazing matches though, against apathetically and obviously in the final against coke which made me change my mind.
But to not get frustrated the way I used to and the way maybe you do, is to go into every match with the mindframe that i explained in my last post. That way if you play someone that plays in a "cheesy" way, you don't get frustrated since you expect it.

The hard truth is that you will always have people playing in a way you dislike, or with setups you dislike, so its either accept it and keep playing for the fun matches, or quit. (It is a shame that you have decided to stop MS though, thats one less fun player to play against out there  )

You right Alex. That is the right mindset, trouble is....if I have to play a "game", "arcade game" I will play MW2 8) I only look for tennis in TS3, so anything other then that simply is not satisfying. I live and breath tennis, so any deviations, imitations and "cheesiness" its a major turn off for me.

I completely agree thou, there still plenty of players that are nothing but fun to play with on 40-90....but I am a competitive person, and I know I will get frustrated losing in QF, SF or F to a cheeseball. In an effort not to offend "people" not "players" I rather not play. I didn't quit, didn't retire....I simply put it on hold, till I have the urge.

Well can you believe it? I've just beaten SoundfSilence 6-1 6-4 :D
I was using Nakamura, he was using Rogers.
His timing was slightly off, mine was quite ok. For a change I never felt dominated from the baseline and he couldn't surprise me with his extreme angles (apart from one shot when he had a breakpoint, you see that you can convert breakpoints perfectly Sound ;))
First set he was too passive, but he played more agressively in 2nd. Then also stamina came into play, which gave me trouble. I then tried to keep the points shorter by coming to the net more often, and I succeeded doing so :)

I'm hosting a big party now to celebrate :c

Hey this is the first time im posting in this section

I had some sim exhibitions today with the new cannon and what can i say, it a lot better than before(when he had 86 power). Movement is improved, maybe from the weight change and for his 58 speed , its pretty good.

Anyway i played with apatheticaly after such a long time. We both had cannon, his single handed backhand is a killer so i took care of not going on that side  . Also he is a great volleyer and has a excellent outwide serve( he aced me 5-6 times) . But those wasn't enough i won 7 6 6 4.

Also i played with pocho, he was using Striker and i was using cannon. In the beggining pocho broke me leading 4-0 if i remember right and then i was throwing at him short topspin shots when he was approching the net and it worked like a charm! i got 6 games in a row and i close the set 6-4.

2nd set, i pretty much had the upper hand, pocho was not coming too often to the net and i thrashed him 6-1 . Great game pocho but i think baseline play suits you better my friend :)
