brgerflipr wrote:Listen Riley, I don't think people want to see you leave. ITST wouldn't grow if everyone just quit because of a few arguments. I think people are are just trying to help you grow and mature as a tour member. But you have to learn from what others are saying and not be so defensive. The tour needs good players like you. And yes, you are a good player.......a very good player. You just don't need to play w/ all that "other stuff". Play for fun & for respect, not just to win.
Since he's one of the few you seem to like, take Andy for example. Most people don't like his style. I don't like his style. But he is beloved on tour & very well respected. Why? Cuz he treats everyone w/ respect and plays just for fun. I've seen him give WO's & coin-tosses just because of a little lag.
djarvik wrote::lol: for the record dear Riley, wide serving was used purelly as an example. No need to defend, I know you are not doing it all the time.
In fact, if you just stop short slicing and 99% double risk returning you will be golden.
And I have never tried to risk you of the court, I usually use either non-risk or L2 returns. Non risk if I feel I can reach your weak side and get a rally going and L2 when I get beat by 1-2 punches. Double risk I reserve usually for later in the match, and even then if I connect or miss a few, I stop. I know it can be extreemly effective...but sorry, not with you. You missed 8 out of 10 and broke me because of 1 short risk slice that drew me to net followed by another risk slice passing shot, then a double fault from me, then a rally won fair and sqaure by you. Then we had another disconect....once we reached 30-40 and resumed the game, you hit that golden double risk finally, to break.
Don't boast, you are good player, but you have no idea how a few well timed short slices can win you a match. Most matches get decided by these few important points.
Lots of players, including me had to go thru some kind of critisizm, it's normal, we are a community, with certain values in common. You liked what you saw when you joined? Well? Then help us preserve it. So we all can keep enjoying it.
