Nah come on max, dont give coke a walkover, just beat coke and then leave

Nah take a break if you must man, but play the games you know will be fun. Personally against coke I always really enjoy the match. Today I played my QF versus Apathetically and it was the most fun I've had in a 90 40 match ever. We had insane rallies, breaks, plenty of break points, it really made me enjoy the game. I thought i'd be out by now so the whole taking a break thing is getting delayed until oshiee/jose knock me out

However, same goes for the matches you know will not be fun. Personally, I'm not facing nitoflament unless the lag becomes bareable, because I dont find it fun and its not his fault.

Also on the subject of people saying "everyone has lag" and "its like atp weather conditions", its not. I have no lag whatsoever in 90% of my matches, whereas some people may have lag in 90% of their games. Is it fair? I need time to adapt to it and my opponent is already fully adapted. You don't have a player who's used to playing in windy conditions against one thats used to playing in ideal conditions on the atp. Some adapt better during the game but none goes into the game already adapted.

My two cents.

Also on topic, as others have already said, if you enjoy the game and enjoy your matches definetly stay nito, this is a game and is played for fun.

Playing devil's advocate, yes it is fair, because as you say if someone is used to playing 90% of their games with lag, then when they play a game without lag, they will be disadvantaged because they are not used to playing lag free. So it kind of works both ways

Hardly need to adapt to playing lag free

I know that feeling.

On TS2 I stayed at around #2 for a long time. There was one player who I had horrible lag with, and could never beat. I knew he had lag with many other players, plus I used a lot (I mean, a LOT) of risk shots, so I felt that he had a bit of an unfair advantage.

I had a way of dealing with it though - not one that I'm particularly proud of, but one that made the situation bearable. I tanked our matches. I went in knowing that I could not play well, so I played as poorly as I could and lost as quickly as I could. One time I literally rolled out of bed, played the match, and was back to sleep in 30 minutes.

I knew what would happen if I tried to play through the lag - I would get pissed off and probably say something I'd regret, to a nice person who was doing nothing wrong. I blocked out all my frustration, decided not to make a fuss about it or quit, and just accepted it for what it was - a video game against one person that I only occasionally had to play. I knew there'd be other matches, and other tournaments, where I would never have to play him. So I decided to just pick my battles - focus on the games when I could have fun and play my best, and blow off the ones where I couldn't.

I'm not suggesting that you do like me. I hope you are a better man than me and will make an effort to play your best. But just keep in mind that we're all here for the same reason: we love tennis, we love games, and we want to compete against the best players in the world.

That was originally my plan beleive it or not, and then I let it get to me that it was a slam and in my favourite tour (SIM). All in the past now anyway, moving on :)

My WTF match with Apathetically was a ridiculous amount of fun, great long rallies(for some reason my defence is always on fire v. him) shitloads of break points, especially in first set.
I have also particularly enjoyed playing the_cooler and k-par

Don't leave nito!!!
You are too good; I enjoy playing with you
I like your playing style, not as others who use a lot of risk and power.
