I disagree.

Cannon and Bashmakov are both slow. Get them into the rally and you will be winning more points. Bashmakov is not only slow, but his strokes are below average. Cannon has a VERY clear weakness in 51 BH. You can go there every time and expect an occasional error and you will get away from powerful FH. They are both "safe" choices as the serve is major weapon in TS3....but, remember, this is sim, all you need to do is remember which side is the weaker one and return the powerful serves with no risk to that side.

Here are my strongest 3 setups:

G.Gray - why? simple. 90 return and only 2 powerful servers in the list, both slow. He should be able to own the rest of the competition and match up well against the 2 powerful servers

T.Striker - SV will finally have a place among the top. And this is the strongest SV that I personally see. In the right hands (Rob) - deadly.

J.Lopez - I think the white stats here don't give justice to the setup. Remember, they are all 60+ and are sitting atop of a 79 Power and add to that a real weapon in FH. Great setup.

I am really liking the look of this, its exciting!!

I think its hard to say that one set up is stronger than another because they all look nicely varied and weighted.

For example a weak set up for me would be S&V but for say Rob or Emate it would be a strong one!!

My only 2 preferences are backhand and serve (and a decent enough return), so i think i like the look of Cannon, i would swap the forehand and backhand over. Plus it will be nice to have a decent stamina stat for once!!

My only real concern for the new setups is Bashmakov!!! If i am honest a 90 on serve and power is a huge asset (i know i would be lethal with this setup). If you get a talented player who can time his shots well with the weak FH & BH stats then this player will do damage and may upset the order of what is supposed to be SIM.

Other than that, this frigin rocks!!

Well done team!

yeah. I understand. I just wanted to see if people will point out the same player without even testing it. Looks like it is NOT happening, at least between the 3 of us posting now

Ok, after thinking it over i´ll start using Mr Bishop, i wanted to use Sixx or Thompson because their speed and stamina but Thom is too tall and Sixx has too many points on volley so i´ll try with Doctor Bishop.

to petrelli83: I have tested Bucci and he seems fast. I think the combination of 68 speed and 90 stamina makes for a very fast, responsive player. Changing direction is a piece of cake and like energizer bunny he just keeps going. Got nice power in 75 too.

Baghdad Kebab - thank you man, we really poured our soul into this one and really spend a lot of our personal time doing it, arguing, making sure in is all balanced.

I agree about Bashmakov being a strong guy there. But, as you said, in the right hands. Not only the player has to serve well, he has to move well. Bashmakov is slow, so if your movement is not efficient and you come across someone who can consistently returns the ball and gets into rallies, it will be tough.

It is important that we all try and test setups. We should all try and test the players that are "the strongest" as well. Simply to confirm. Like Baghdad said, "in the right hands" - which to me says that the Right Hands player is actually a good player and fit for a setup, rather then setup itself being too strong.

I liked Cannon, the set-up was more normal but I know with the low backhand I'm going to get picked off.

Used Lorenz as a lefty and liked the balance but it feels a little awkward serving with a shorter guy when I'm used to 6"2 minimum.

Gonna try Gray and Lopez. BTW anyone think playing as a lefty is going to be advantageous on some of these setups?

I will use striker, obviously. But one question, will you be fixed with one palyer all year? because some may switch about ie, use the best clay player for the clay season, best SV'er for grass etc. could be interesting.

Think nakamura could be a early favourite.

Maybe should be fixed all tournament rather than all year. Will we have to post the player we use when we report the results. It would be interesting too see what setups players are using at the top of the rankings.
