so nobody is answering ?
well, we did a few nice things with djarvik tonight (or in the morning for me)

1st things 1st : we played our first match together, his sim 2*90 and all player against my soderling.
It was an interesting encounter to me, but i missed the spark to win it, i had to fight from the very beginning to hold serve (i recorded this first game and will post on dailymotion), and eventually got broken at 4-4 and lost 6-4, i missed a couple of break points due to a rain of LT risk shots from Djarvik (who admitted it, no closet risker here  ).
We had some response lag on both side which did not make the timing easier, but we did some pretty nice shots along the way, although my serve (compared to edberg's djoko's or delpo's) is very subpar, allowing
for dangerous LT returns which took me off balance quite a few times.
On the other side, serve was difficult to read to say the least, but i managed to land 2 winner returns (in the whole game)

The second set i decided to do something and managed to lead 4-2 before i almost double broke, but to no avail, as Djarvik evened 4-4, the set went on to a TB were i had two mini breaks and was caught up again till i eventually lost after getting one or 2 missed set points (serve could have helped a lot here  )

All in all a close one, and should have been a 3 setters :(
I'll let djarvik comment on it, but i was drained at the end, with so many close hard fought games...

Then i proposed to show him my pros, and off we went, i recorderd part of it (will post on daily) and to my surprise he took a very nice santoro out of the hat for me to behold ! the face has really something, good job :D

So watch for new videos on daily, and...

...do your homework and write/give feed-back a little, or i'll quickly get tired of my monologues
if reading me is boring, just tell me to go bake some french bread and will do

VILARCANE wrote:just a poll, did any of you have a look at my videos, because a friend of me asked me to do more gameplay / player area videos for all my players, but since it is gonna take me a lot of time to record / upload, i need to know if you are interested and if i am to get some feedback about it (google "dailymotion vilarcane" if you wanna see the existing ones already).

I guess this would be my last piece of work for the community (god i have said that so many times already  )

I think no one said anything, because they did not see the bolded text I just did now?! :P

Perhaps, you may want to post the links of the videos? :)

First, props to VILARCANE! He is Exceptional mover on the court, reminds me of Humburgeboy and Boghdad Kebab.

I enjoyed our match a lot, he challenged me on every point. Although I disagree about the whole "No Risk" philosophy, because of Lack of Errors in particular, I would love for VILARCANE to join ITST tourney and look past risk, just try dude! ....Humburgerboy doesn't use risk at all, he is TOP14 and rising!

It is worth to mention:

sim 2*90 and all player against my soderling.

you had 2*90 2*86 1*81

Just didn't look right to me without listing your stats.

Also, to VILARCANE's 20+ winners, I fired 60+ and that is with 75FH and 80BH to his 91FH and 86BH.

This tells me, that if you want to play Soldering style, you will HAVE to risk. While your player looked fantastic visually, game style wise he was more like Hewitt, a counter puncher.....

Dude, if you embrace risk, you will easily be a TOP20 maybe even Higher!

I think I also understand all the people that are against risk now. I have noticed a pattern:

Anyone who doesn't use risk is a Great mover. Why? Simple:

The are constantly Holding either LB or RB, or both, on every shot.
Now, that limits their ability to use risk, as it is being pressed by the same finger that hold RB or LB ;) Hence they are all against the risk, because it is simply too hard to do with one finger.

I, for example, rarely if ever use RB or LB. Only in certain situations and usually tap it rather then hold, I need my finger for risking ;)

So here is your answer. Both styles ARE effective, one is attaching, the other is defensive.

No need to argue!

Oh and thanks VILARCANE for giving me props of my Santoro! I like him too!

Thats untrue, you can use index finger for LB and RB/L1 and R1 and use your middle finger for risk

I dont try this, but it could work :)

I either use LB or Risk depending on the situation

I use my middle fingers for the triggers sometimes. If you serve and volley with the buttons you hold RB+RT+LT, so you kind of get used to it.

I meant "in a nut shell", Majority will do that.

But am I right? :?
You give up the defense to pull the risk shot, seems OK to me....it is sort of good actually, Master LB RB and you will be a great defender with no risk!

@emate
Don't mind Nimfro, he is young and exploring ;)

@Nimfro
Yes, you could use more fingers LOL Do what makes you happy! But beware, I herd proctologists are nasty people

Its Djarvik emate  Im trying new things out on this forum 8)
Like:
Using the list button for this,Changing peoples names in qoutes, font size variations, im still not sure what the code button is for though :?

Somebody noticed it at least :D :D

And Rob, im kinda used to it aswell, but i still find it sort of strange using it during a rally.

I know you stick serve it, so your meaning during the rallies, but since i use button serves i have to do that on the serve, but i generally dont do it in rallies[/list]
