Probably the funnest match I've ever played w/ some of the best rallies I've ever had. Of all my ITST matches, this one will stand out for a very long time. Not because I lost, but because regardless of the score, it was the most fun I've had playing.

There was no risk-slicing, no drop shots after serves, no double trigger returns 99% of the time. We weren't abusing "glitch" shots and playing a lottery video game, we were simulating tennis. Exactly what SIM should be.

I was outclassed today. I gave it all I had, it just wasn't enough. I lost to a better player. Congrats my old friend, I wish you luck the rest of the way.

Damn i had enough with Cannon and Roddick serve.
I know that i can volley well so im gonna choose a volley guy and work on a new serve.

But basicly i lost because of the weak serve of mine and his riskshots I can't do those **** riskshots!!!
Well played tho :)

Edit: Damn i'm too used to the Roddick Serve so i'm not gonna change but i think im gonna change from Cannon to Burns :)

Even though im not the greatest ts3 player, serve motion A and the federer motion - probably the easiest man. I always say im going to quit this game and eventually find myself coming on this website 2 hours after id quit and put topspin back in the ps3

I just beat this 100 forhand, serve etc with Burns :)
Why is S+V roddick a no no?
**** fed serve its not easy i like fast quick easy serve i never said it was hard but roddick serve is returnable thats all
Burns speed really working well and volley play going well too :)

If you hold RB while serving with the Roddick motion, sometimes he will run way to the side when he approaches the net.

A is the best for s&v, no question about it.

with burns im having a lot of trouble approaching the net from groundstrokes. he takes like two painfully slow steps and it stuck in no mans land and the ball canes past. kinda of balling for a net player with 80-odd speed :?

Try recreating him, with a different build/fat/muscle or even a different player type (race). I find that sometimes you create a guy and he is just slow.

Listen to Rob. I have created 1000's of players....only a few were fast AND relatively hard hitters. At first I though it is in my head...so I conducted a few experiments. I clearly saw differences in choosing different player types. Certain types are strong but slow, some are fast, some serve better, easier to time...others MOVE TO NET better.

As far as build/weight/muscle goes.... the only consistent thing I have noticed is that FAT somehow makes you more stable on your shots and makes you fall over less on returns. Speed is not being affected by Fat. You are still fast when have fat at 2-3...but, your first step is slower, the acceleration seems slow - while top speed is the same.

Build and muscle seem to do very little if anything.
Level 13 Edberg and counting...

Does it also have to do with how clean / how well you time your shot? I find if I hit a nice clean shot (controller vibrates), the player moves as I want him to (fast).. but when I mistime and the shot is weak, the player just doesn't response to R1 (rush net button)

I think that's happened to me with Lightman, he's just slow and sluggish... You have used Lightman Rob, does your guy move ok?
