BMW MSS FINAL alex def likos 4-6 6-4 7-6

1st set: With me serving in the opening set, Likos breaks me immediately. I manage to break back and serving at 1-1, he breaks me again. I dont think I was serving badly or anything, I just couldnt do anything. I think I threatened to break back once or twice but Likos held on and served out the set.

2nd set: Again Likos breaks me in the opening game ( ) which I managed to get back soon after. I then managed to break at 5-4 and take the set 6-4.

3rd set: This time no breaks of serve (if memory serves), we head straight to the tie break. We both hold on till 5-5 or so, where Likos hits an non-risk error into the net making it 6-5 on my serve. We get into a ralley and this time its my turn to hit a non risk error into the net (those goddamn low-stat backhands). I then hold to 7-6. Following point, with the court wide open likos's backhand decides to hit another non-risk error, handing me the game.

Great match with everything that made me enjoy top spin 3. Alot of variety on serves and shots, and no cheese. Great game Likos, shame about that UE[/b]

Indeed it was a very close match Andy! Congratulations Alex, its always a challenge playing you, i had to play that extra shot!

Also you are one of the best returners in ITST, if you play Alex, forget getting free points in your serves, he forces you to a rally almost everytime!

I take now that non risk errors are part of the game, just to keep myself sane if you know what i mean!

Thanks guys, and yea Likos I cant beleive it happened to you twice..in a final set TB. Thats enough to bash a controller to hell and back I'd say. Just blame coke for breaking the curse imo.
Also this match was really difficult because it was one of those where its really hard to generate any power on normal groundstrokes, (detective djarvik is still investigating on why this happens) so to win a point there had to be alot of risk taking.

Also ovhij you wern't even in that tourny, so..:P

Open de nice cote d azur r16
tonedawg1 vs v_x_m 7-5 6-4
1 set: i was rusty and he played better and broke me and almost did it again! but i kept my cool and broke and again at 6-5
2nd set: he was tapping the button and it would annoy me how it would float on the line so i tapped back and won a lot of points this way and it thew off his regular game then my risks were coming back so i started risking on return then once i rode my confidence i won with a tapped short topspin shot his sim guy had 88 on speed so it was a drag to get the ball past him

I wish, I'll never get nr1. That spot is for josenylund/djarvik/lonamer. I don't have the drive to play this game as much as before and "practise". I just play ITST games and hope for a fun match. Only reason I was doing so well before was because I was playing literally 5 hours a day, exho after exho.

And tonedawg our ralleys rock :c

BMW OPEN MS FINAL Likos defeated Ovhij 6-3, 6-7, 7-6

1st set: We started both of playing very clean and nice with serving battles but in the 3rd game i managed to break and hold despite Ovhij's pressure to my serve.

2nd set:Similar to the first with loads of bp opportunities but without converting any of them and then tiebreak. I lead a mini break in the beggining but ovhij equalised me with a very nice backhand down the line! Then he got confidence and after a long rally he gets another one and he serves it out.

3rd set: Again we started pushing each others serves with several deuces. We were playing a lot of mind games wrong footing and that was fascinating i must say. Tie break and lag hit us, the play was unbearable and we both agree that we should restart 3rd set on tiebreak because it was such a shame to end the match like that. I know most of people wouldn't accept to restart but ovhij is such a gentleman even if he is a teenager. I manage to steal a minibreak late and i serve it out.

I must say that ovhij has improved a lot since the last time we played and he also created a new character that is more threatening with him! This was the first match we didn't have any lag at all( well maybe sometimes but it was physical). Also there were no constant risk returns and no drop shots or risk slices at all.

Its always a pleasure playing with you ovhij, he even said to me that he is my rival in ITST

Me and lerc FINALLY managed to play 1 set lol. He won it. It was one of those sets which when you lose you are just left wondering how you lost, (only recently getting that feeling because usually just lose badly haha) I think the game he broke me was a mixture of him hitting some nice wrong footing shot and rest me losing point at net just somehow. I know it not unfair because he prob sees it same way from his perspective but hitting a hard risk shot into open court and him getting it back somehow is annoying.

Anyway not going to talk about the match in detail because it still going.
