Hi, I just want to say I like this idea very much

I got this game 2 days ago, so I did not have the chance to play online yet(still too weak), so my question is, are there really so much overpowered 100 "power stats" players online, or only just a few?

But I'm afraid, that without this rule, the stats are going to be more and more similar

You are right, which is a shame. Happy to see there are more people who think this way .

For me xboxlive is only about the winning no matter what...and ITST is for simulating tennis and uhm............the winning :-)

I highly suggest that separate´em in 2 tours.

1) REG Tour with a character with any setup as you like it.

2) SIM Tour with at least 50 xp points on each attribute and where you can´t use risk shots.

What do you think ?

i think its the wrong way.because when you make 50 on volley serve and stamina you also have enough points for 3times100 .so when you do stats on 90EP than you play with 90 power+RT : you have power like 130 EPS:THE problem is 100 on power + risk (RT-RT+LT): is IT A problem?????????????so better stopp risk for fairplay.when every game end 7-6 6-7 7-6 6-7 7-6 than is time to change something.for every player stats this game give answer.every hard shoot can be returned with a more hard ball-also you must bring your SERVE home.to win the matchLIKE IN REAL TENNIS- you must only practice.every shoot your opponent played, you can play this shoots yourself- :wink: also a problem is that everybody must create a complete new character :cry:

@callofduty: This is why this would be a separate tour, to hopefully balance the game. You would certainly be able to just play the regular and not have to worry about making a completely new character

@anil: I've actually been thinking about the 50+ tour, and honestly I'm not sure that will work. Basically what we want to try and do is not make the baseline A pounding so powerful. I don't think requiring all stats to be at 50 or higher will help this, since somebody could still put 100 on power/fh/bh as they do now. Sure all the other stats will be weak, but everybody will probably lean to some setup such as this. I think the better way to tweak the stats is to limit how high these three stats can simultaneously be. Like a combined 260 or so. I think this would allow all gameplay styles to have a similar chance of success...

Unless you can explain otherwise, I don't see how the 50 or higher requirement will help.

BTW: The best way I know to beat the 100 hackers is to run 'em as much as I can. They almost always have 30 on stamina, so I try and drop shot them and get them to hit weak shots as much as I can so I can stay on top in the point and wear them out. By the end of the match their heart beat is pounding so much they will miss after only three or four shots in a rally. The only problem I am having right now is being able to do this without getting tired myself. Once I figure out how to do this, I think I will have a solid way to counter these guys in full set ITST matches.

sherlock, stamina is like ice at north pole. it's surely not a bit of "make him run" that will make u win the game vs a powerhouse. you sure got a point, the +50 thing will allow 100 power, f&b but you will have 50 in serve&response. if he plays with a good player, he will not win; fair enough :)

i'm glad that many of you not only agree with the 50 limits, but add the non risk thing: the fiest without the secondm, in fact, is to me a bit unuseful.

p.s. f***, do i have to start over 2 damn careers? :P
p.p.s. no, really, i guess that we have at least to wait a bunch of tournaments to see how things go...

this is what i mean with ---it gives for every style a answer- 4 time 100 attributes have 3 weak attribute. so you must make your gamepriority-baselineplaya etc etc --i think 50 on every stats not work. but its only my opinion--

what about set a max limit to skills, 90 max might work to avoid overpowered baseline characters...
