you can do it coke .

True, if it was 90-40, coke is red hot. In sim, he's still finding his rhythm, but once he finds it, he'll threaten that's for sure.

True, but im starting to find my rythm and have a very beatable quarter, once i get to QF though i have lonamar/joesnylund, but hey whi knows :P

Oh I just can't wait to beat you in 2nd round.

Cough! Cough!

Sorry fedfan, bit unfair to rule you and jcfbb out, but you are in fairness struggling with form.
Also when you see both Tom and Viera in your quarter, well lets say i had a little accident from all the joy :P

Down 4-1 a double break against Matt4u2Nv were were gonna play later as the lag is unbearable but I feel like my losing streak is going to continue after this I cant do a thing against this guy's serve and he's Gray so my Bishops serve is being destroyed. :x

 :? Bishop in my opinion is THE best returner in the roster. If you cant use his returning skills, then you maybe waisting your time with him.
Gray is a good server, granted, especially being that tall and having a yellow stat. But you should be able to spot a semi-pattern and take a step in anticipation. Once you start punish a few serves here and there it will make him think twice before serving, making the serve more approachable.

How do you return wide serve?

Because of his Yellow speed Orange return Red and Yellow strokes. He may lack the power, but I usually don't return with double triggers....so for me...he is the best returner, he has the best chance of breaking a few times a set.

I agree. But he is prone to get broken a few times a set too, makes him balanced. I don't know if it has anything to do with Bishop's high fh, bh, he seems to move better for me than others.. Your timing must be perfect though to hit winners, since power is so low.

Yes, that is true man. Because of his smaller frame, yellow speed and high strokes, he moves great and more importantly RECOVERS quicker. And even more important, recovers after risking quicker.

Recovery depends on your strokes - NOT speed. Higher strokes will recover faster and will be ready to run for the next shot faster. Recovery also depends on your stroke animation. Be sure to chose the ones with big back swing and short follow thru.

Bishop, if used correctly - is absolutely lethal. His serve maybe a liability, but there are plenty of work around for that. I actually prefer the slower serving now. I think by not using R2 on serve and learning to serve with L2 only - you will be able to recover quicker for that risk return. I have tried it, it works. Now mix your regular serving and ....waaaallllyaa!

I serve with the stick so I might take you'r advise Djarvik. I lost 6-2 7-5 the lag was a bit disappointing but I have no excuses I can play brilliantly in Exhibitions but I never play well in ITST matches anymore. I haven't won a match since February 14th. If anyone has played me they would know I enjoy long rallies allot with Bishop but I felt in this match my character moved slower than he usually did maybe it was lag or maybe it was my own nerves I don't know, and what was worse was he was returning great he gave me only 2 or 3 free points with his risk return the rest came in and I had to work my way around the points. And all of you know how well Matt4U2NV serves, it was difficult to get points in general. I feel I came into this match in good form beating and having long matches against most top players. I even feel like I played well against Brgerflipr in an exhibition. Well hopefully I'll have better luck next time. So now my next character will be Bucci who I've had my best results with, hopefully I can play as well as I used to with him.

otlichno, u are very good in rallies, and good in returns, but u have to improve your service, no problem the stats, if u learn how hit good serves u will can play with bishop, and believe me, is possible serve well with him.

I always knew my serve was crap but I knew what I lost in direction and positioning on it I made up for in pace, with Bishop I was able to consistently serve in the 125-135 mark, but than I'm up against players like you and Matt and MarlonBrando and ToneDawg who serve at a lower pace but still somehow get so many aces, I realized it was a problem. But I really don't know what else I can do, most people serve with the buttons so I should have an advantage because I serve with the stick but it doesn't seem to work that way.

I hate the button serving, I can place them better with stick. That said I'm used to stick serving, and not to button serving. Oh, and when playing s&v the stick allows me to get to the net quicker than with the buttons.
