i played djarvik earlier on, i blew 4 Bp's in the 1st game and every game went with serve till the tiebreak which he won about 8-6. 2nd set was much of the same i think he got the tiebreak it 7-5. was a cool match though. :D

played mack again but this time on world tour. Took the first set 3-1 and the second 4-3. The tiebreak was great with me having to come back form 2 minibreaks, and fight off set points. Mack played amazong in the tiebreak rallies, hitting amost every risk shot. I only hoped to stay in the point.

Good match Mack.

Had some weird matches today.

First I was playing with this setup:
FH/BH 80
Serve/Return 70
Volley/Power 40
Speed/Stamina 90

Was playing against SoundfSilence, he was using his Agassi character. Something like
FH/BH 80
Serve 60
Return 80
Volley 50
Power 80
Speed 80
Stamina 60

Main difference was the power, he ended up winning, on grass, 6-2 7-6 (0) 6-2. Yes, he won the tiebreak 7-0.

Later I played him again, but then on clay. Now I was playing with 60 power, something like this:
FH 85
BH 65
Serve 70
Return 80
Volley 60
Power 60
Speed 75
Stamina 65

He again with his Agassi.

This match was tighter. He got an early break in the first and took it 6-4. Then he was 5-1 up in the 2nd set, but I managed to get a tiebreak out of it. I did slightly better than in the first match tiebreak. Now I got 1 point to lose it 7-1  Then somehow I lost the 3rd set 0-6... So 6-4 7-6 (1) 6-0 to him.

And now I've played VillaJ100 in a serve&volley contest. Well, he didn't play s&v all the time, but fair enough, most of the times he did.

My setup:
FH 80
BH 50
Serve 90
Return 70
Volley 90
Power 60
Speed 80
Stamina 40

His setup:
FH 80
BH 75
Serve 80
Return 45
Volley 85
Power 80
Speed 80
Stamina 45
Or something like that.

Anyway, an early break in the 1st set was enough for me to take it 6-3. Then in the 2nd set I was up 4-1 or something like that. Hadn't had a breakpoint against me, hadn't had any trouble in my servicegames, but suddenly he broke me on love. Was still a break up, but I somehow missed the easiest volleys and so he came back into it for a tiebreak. I think he won that by 7-2 or so... (what is it with me and tiebreaks?)

In the 3rd set he got an early break and went on to serve for the match on 5-4. Then all of a sudden he started missing balls he usually didn't miss. I went on to have about 10 breakpoints in total before I managed to break him. It was really weird. From deuce I would hit a return winner because he somehow kept missing the ball when approaching the net. Then on breakpoint he would stay back and win the point by having better baseline stats than me. In the end I managed to hit a return winner to finish the game.

5-5, so I was back in it, but all of a sudden I missed all sorts of volleys... he broke me on love and went on to take the 3rd set and with that the match. 3-6 7-6 (2) 7-5.

Is it me getting mental or is there something in the game that makes you miss the easiest balls when you're about to finish the match?

Wow. Long post!!

I do not think there is a such thing where the games allows you to hit the easiest balls out. Normally, if you think like this, you are doubting yourself.

Yes I know, but it didn't only happen to me :D
But I guess I'm going mental on those occasions :D

The post is not that long if you get rid of the setups and the image though...
And once I start writing...

Guess that's another difference between ps3 and xbox360...

I hardly hit aces, despite painting the lines frequently, and neither do my opponents.

But well, they hit the ball, but most times it's easy to put away then.

i know that game was strange. you was making me hit wayyy to many half-volleys for my liking. and the game where i was serving at 5-4 was also odd i kept running past the ball  !
Anyway it was a great match very to and fro, i should have been down and out at 1-4 and a double break down but managed to claw back. I think maybe my higher second serve % was the difference, but thats probably i was copping out a bit and stayed back on my 2nd serves in the last couple of games :D

Going back to Tomb's matches against me:

I felt my 80 power really out muscled him (and felt like I was unfairly bullying him in rallies LOL). The previous 3 times we played with similar power baseliner, he won all 3 (2 were close, and 1 of them he blasted me away for 6 - 1, 6 - 1)

Against his 90 stamina guy yesterday, which I won 6 - 2, 7-6 (0), 6 - 2, the first set was comfortable for me, I never felt threaten.

Then in the 2nd set, when my stamina started to flash, he was able to attack me and I wasn't happy with my movements at all... I think we exchanged some breaks. Once we got to the tie-break, my character felt really good (don't know if it's just confidence) and I was overpowering him again LOL

Although he had 90 stamina, his was flashing pretty badly too at stages, so I don't know if he had much advantage from that... (When I can, I was keeping the rallies long, making him run to tire him out though)

GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just won my first TS3 match against an ITST player since Feb 2nd!!

I beat SoundofSilence 6-4 6-3 in a fun match, where there was a lot of variety in the points, like volleys and mixing of spins.

There was 1 break in the first set, and a total of 6 breaks in the 2nd set!

Here's a pic with the stats, they should describe everythin pretty well:

Yup!

Real fun match though. Many games went to deuce! Nimfrodil managed to convert the break points, whereas I didn't... 1st serves started going after the first set LOL
