His game must be very Karlovic-Isner esque then i take it? Although Isner has seriously impressed me with his ground game and that he definitely can pack a punch on both wings when it comes to engaging into a baseline rally with an oppenent.

He's definitely more Karlovic-esque, he can't move and his rallying was completely predictable, it's just a matter of figuring out a way to return his serve. Everytime I had a break point, I just f****ed it up by being either too safe or by completely missing the return because I tried to risk. HAHA GOD I AM STILL PISSED at myself for not taking advantage of the many chances I had.

The only other person I've played who serves like that is Rob. Rob's better but this guy's still probably gonna ace you (or anybody) a LOT.

If we are talking about a potential isner, well then it has to be Rob. Can hit absolute bombs when he wants to, and he likes to run around his backhand :D

Yeah but Robs character has a very solid ground game unlike Isner, and Robs character isnt 6ft 9 either . Isner gets most his points of his serve akin to Mitro, and theyre physical attributes seem the same too.

So I had my R32 in the US Open today against Mitro222. Jay, you could have not summed up his game more clearly. His serve wins him most his points and you feel once youre in a rally that youre in control. He also one who knows how to serve himself out of trouble, and luckily I got two breaks on crucial moments; one at 5:5 in the 2nd set, and one at 3:5 down in the third.

Here are the match stats:

Me Mitro222:
1st Serve %: 96 82
Win on 1st Serve%: 87 66
Win on 2nd Serve%:67 60
Aces:21 6
Double Faults: 1 2
Winners: 73 18
Unforced Errors: 6 3
Break Points Won: 2/8 1/1
Total Points Won: 123 91

Id be lying to you if I said they werent  . To be fair though winning a match against him, I see no other way. His serves are so bloody tough, that if you want me to press a button without the triggers he'll put the next ball away. If i want to compete with anyone in the Top 50 or even 100, I'll have to keep to this tactic.

meh

Sorry what is "meh"? "My ego hurts"?

Players who risk return and do it well...kudos to them. Especially when the server is hitting 145mph every serve...(2nd serve as well)

My advice to all players who can't handle risk: head on over to the SIM tour and enjoy ball tapping in la la land.

ask djarvik what "meh" means.....risk returning 4 out of 5 times just takes aways all the fun and reality from the game....in the ATP players will risk return when needed....or if you are Ivo Karlovic and you dont care about your return game and just want to get it over as quickly as possible...

getting into a point or a "rally" if you know what a rally might be....its actually quite fun in rallies...you have to think a little bit and judge your next shot....not just pummle balls all the time....but, its not "banned" i just find it very disrepectful and believe me i used to do it 10 out of 10 times when i first started playing this game....but i dont like to do it as much anymore....just when i need to or have an advantage in a certain game like if im up 15-40 on someones serve then yes of course i might take a stab at it.....or if im down 40-0 i may do it because i just want to get the game over with and move onto my serve.....believe me if everyone played that way you would find the game much more "euphoric"
