He also got to plenty of 0-30's on my serve and 1 or 2 0-40's so i was pushed a lot.

Yes, you are right. I got depressed comparing todays matches to yesterdays :( :(

haha its true though, how much things can change one day to the next. nearly every shot you missed was a good contender for hawkeye miss as well

Played a 1 set match against GOA earlier tonight(wish it was a full match but oh well). I won 6-1. It was probably the cleanest set of tennis I've ever played(14 winners/0 errors) and my returns were on. I was anticipating his serve well but I think he was rusty.

Off topic but has any one else noticed that since the new xbox live update, lag seems to have been reduced in matches? Maybe it was just a coincidence but I think it has helped to reduce lag a bit.

i was little angry with myself that you break me to 3-1 after a 40-0 lead .
you have now a good 40 serve . !!
you have nice power groundstrokes. and great no risk returns!!!
i was happy that we had played only 1 set.

i loose set, but about a really great player.
when you not leave the tour you make your way to a high top ranking,

me and brgerflipr continued our rivalry with his '708080' character and my 'Joe SV' character. we played at US open and brgerflipr came through 7-5 4-6 6-3 in a tight game. Most chances were taken, i hit some great volleys, great serves and he hit some great returns and passes and lobs and one of us had to crack in the final set, and he got a read on my serve in the 3rd and broke, and served it out for the victory.

I had an interesting exchange today with someone from Italy after a VT 2009 player match. I would have just posted it on one of the VT 2009 boards, but it's not like anyone here actually plays VT 2009 or visits those boards anymore anyway. :)

Him: "heii superman closed emule idiot!!!!"
Me: "Uh...what?"
Him: "lagman s*** DEAD!!!"
Me: "I don't understand. What are you talking about?"
Him: "ma vai a cagare scemo" (Can anyone here tell me what that means? I looked it up but couldn't get a clean translation - I just know it's something vulgar in Italian.)
Me: "What?"
Him: "GAME LAGGY!"
Me: (thinking) "Oh. Well why didn't you just say so?"

I then told him that everything looked perfect on my screen, and my connection is great and I haven't been having any problems with it, so maybe it was something on his end. He never responded.

It's funny, because the match itself was not eventful at all, other than the fact that he completely stopped playing for the first two games of the second set. I won 3-1, 3-1. I'm flattered that he apparently thinks of me as Superman, though...ha ha.

Seriously, stuff like this is why I have been limiting myself to playing against one human VT opponent (or less) per day.

It's always 1 or 2 pts that determine an entire match. Like Fed said, "tennis is a cruel game". We both got 1 break each 1st 2 sets. Both holding well, the 3rd set, villa inexplicably dumped an easy volley in the net. A lucky risk return later, i had the break and everything was routine. He gets that volley 99.9999% of the time and on any other day, we'd be reporting a score of a TB for the 3rd.

yeah i hit a 'topspin' or circle volley and the ball wasn't above the net so i dumped it in the net lol. But to be honest you should have broke a couple of times that set, i was actually cursing there was no dive button for some of the shots i was having to hit, some mad angles. i was kinda lucky in the 2nd set having 1 BP and taking it lol.

Your not the only one. I just played TOMO and he killed me 6-0 6-0 and i dont understand these really shortcross court shots literally just going over the net and going so wide i dont attempt to get it because if i did he would just risk the next shot so theres no point. And thats another thing, he was risking quite alot but had like 1 UE. Im sure his timing is perfect and his serve was acing me so basically i was just attempting to return any balls possible. My first serve win % was 12 and second was 0. I had 3 winners in all, well done me. I just dont know how you lot do it like the buttons to press which shots most effect ect and especially when serving 0.0

I haven't seen anyone who risks a lot and has 1 UE.

He was not risking a lot for sure.

He wasn't risking, trust me. I was on the receiving end of one of his beat-downs. He plays w/ a 6'9 guy w/ 85 speed that gets to everything. Add a 90/80 fh/bh set up, and he doesn't need to risk. A good charge and GREAT timing = a winner.
