Call you shots guys!

Not sure who TOMO will be using, but I think he has to be the guy to beat. He is consistent, can risk well, moves great and making up for lack of creativity with wall like defense. Not many players on tour can challenge him in best of 5, let alone walk away victorious. I can see 3 clear candidates for such upsets, and they are:

alex13090 - has probably the most complete game out there. Playing him is like playing myself, and after a few matches, I realized that I can't beat myself.

coke4 - has a great baseline game, can stay in points with anyone, but what really sets him apart is great serving and most importantly, transition volleys. If Coke can find his rhythm at the net, he can be the guy on the top. Playing against TOMO, it so important to end the points quick and have as many free points as possible. Coke is the man here.

Josenylund - risk taker, a smart risk taker, as very successful risk taker. Knows when to go for his shots and does it often. Great court sense as - making him a good defender as well. When his down the line risk is "on", it becomes extremely tough to find an open spot on the court, he covers it oh so well.

As far as later rounds of a major, there are at least 20 players in the draw that can realistically get to QF or better. Yes, the SIM tour is that deep and unpredictable. If I have to name a few, then I'll start with (in no particular order) petrelli83, he recently lost a few close matches and will be prime for a break thru comes AO. He will be seeded 10th or so, so he will have to deal with one of the great new comers in first rounds, which brings me to marlonbrando91. Had a pleasure to play a set against him and I believe he will shape into a QF presents very shortly. Lonamer is world class and Wimbledon winner is unseeded, so good luck to whoever gets him in first round. There are too many names to mention, these are just a few of the excellent players we have and since the draw is not out yet, this is meant to be a general observation of some contenders and new arrivals on the tour.

Chip in!

Have a good Draw and good Luck!

I was waiting for the draw to make one of these

My pick is alex13090, with a bit more experience/confidence, which he will gain at the warm ups, he will be unstoppable.

Of course you cant rule out TOMO and Djarvik

The Veteran player has my pick.

Yes, coke, you guessed it. brgrfliper! This guy has been there and done it, and is hungry for more. He is a young father, and will want to achieve another before retirement :c Plenty of motivation for him, to make his child proud. His experience of winning 5 setters is a massive advantage over the young pretenders coming to the tour.

SoundSilence - I like your thinking my friend! As much as I would like my son to remember me as a two-time Grand Slam major winner, I'll be happy if that little bastard can make it thru the night w/o crying.

If I can get a friendly draw and not play Djarvik, TOMO, Jose, Coke, Lonamer, Pocho, Nitoflament or Alex. I think I have a decent chance at taking the whole thing. :-)

I'll give some predictions once the draw comes out, tho any of the above-mentioned "can" win. But my money's on Djarvik. I think this is his year.

I reckon this one is for tomo, djarvik or coke.
Darkhorses : brger, tone, maximo and others I'm probably forgetting.
I've only ever played a 5 set format once back at US open so I will have trouble adjusting.

Also nitoflament for me, we have terrible connection to each other and he adjusts to it much better than i do.

the draw will be very important because we have strong player that have just started to play SIM tour that have low ranking...my thought goes most of all to pocho and lonamer...we could have very tough first round...for example lonamer-tomo  so it's very hard to predict something before the draw is released...
btw my favourites are Tomo,Alex,Coke and Djarvik...
behind them I think Lonamer,Pocho,Brgeflipr,Jose and Maximo

I'm making my ps3 comeback here. Hope to get a kind draw so that I can find my feet again for the first few rounds.

That seems to be my problem against him.....a weird lag always has me falling on returns, not taking the oh so necessary step in the right direction. TOMO ends up every time, with 20+ aces and 90%+ points won on his serve.

Its hard not to start panicking and loosing your own serve in such situation.

Hopefully, SIMs slower serve speeds and higher return ratings can help me to coop better with his serving.

Oh and I am pulling for a first round Lonamer VS TOMO, it would be great for one of them to be out so early

I also have problems returning against Tomo.
Almost everytime he serves out wide i get some wierd lag thing that freezes me for about maybe 1 sec and he gets the ace or a service winner.
