Hi everyone....i was hoping to get some feed back. I am new to the tour and im playing my first tournament.....I just played and lost against "squilari " to be quite honest I believe he played incredibly unfair every serve was super sliced out wide then he hits the ball to the open court everytime its winner....I beat him the first set....he did not start doing this serve until the second and third sets which is why i lost....he also had unrealistic stats....fore, bac hand power...all 90 there is no weakness, before the match begins im at a disadvantage ......be honest guys am I just being a sore loser? should I just haphazardly create a player....90fh, 90bh, 90pw, and always serve out wide then hit to the open court? Is that what it takes to compete with the "top" players? Is this what I have to look forward to on the tour? I came to this tour because the world tournament in the topspin games have players with all fh, bh, pw...all 100 and thats silly. Hopefully this is just one player and not a forebode of how things are played out here......

hey mate, this is the first time in 4 years and after played ts1 pc, ts2 xbox360 and ts3 ps3 i was accused of being cheesy !!!???
let me explain to you some things . I DID use the wide service from the ORIGINAL position the whole match from time to time, not only the 2 last sets.
The point is that you were able of returning them great in the first set before your character got tired because i put you running for the ball the whole match . I think you are a very good player but you have to improve to be a GREAT one though. So you can win and lose against anyone.
I believe the fact here is that you were 7-6 4-2 and serving and I came back winning 7 games in a row for leading 6-7 6-4 3-0 and then won the final set 6-3.
Can you explain me how could I BROKE your service 3 times in a row ?
If i understand this game well there is no wide services when you are returning, right ?
About the stats, I´m not breaking any rules .
About the gameplay I used only x, circle and slices straiths, no risking at all. No drop shots , no short L2 slices and flat returns with 40 on return.
Tell me WHERE IS THE CHEESY GAMEPLAY PLEASE, MISTER.

Dude,

like you said, you are new to the tour, Practice makes perfect. Slice wide serve is the easiest for me to return, I will punish anyone who is even thinking of doing it 2 3 times in a raw!

.... I dare anyone!

... and that is with return at 50.

4 red attributes, I have explained in other posts, here it is again, my example:

forehand/power/speed all red, return 50, stamina 40, severe 80, backhand 80, volley 40.

I can return just fine with 50, no need for more points, I can finish at the net just fine with 40, again, no need for more points, stamina unfortunately is far less useful then speed, I make up for low stamina with speed.

So what am I to do with the rest of the points?

If people have 90 in four stats then it probably means that they are compensating for something in their game and are not going to be as tough to beat as you may think  This is true in my case anyway. I have 90 serve but that doesn't make me a good server. I have 90 in it coz serving is my weakness and so I am trying to cover it up. The best servers are able to get placement over pace (see Swifty for example). As for the outwide serve itself, well I can say that using that serve has cost me matches :( In key points in matches, usually in tiebreaks, I find myself going for that outwide slice serve but my opponents know it is coming and so step out wide and either whack it down the line or get a nice angle cross court return winner. Therefore, it can be very easy serve to counter. I am trying not to use it so much any more.
ahhh....just noticed this is ps3 thread  Oh well, I guess both games have pretty much the same issues anyway.

You shouldn't have put 90 on fh bh pw, that setup is not fair for players who play with realistic setups...es de cagón

90-40 tour ,mate . I was one of those who fought a lot for setting these rules after i played 121823128319198 matches and tried different player setups.
I reccomend you to do the same.
In fact i use 80 on service when i know if i used 90 , my service would be unbreakeble.
And i have other weakness on my 50 on speed and 40 on return and even that I´m able to win some matches despite i am slower than a reumatic turtle :)

I bought the PS3 for blu-ray primarily. But now, I got the TS3 so I can play both tours

I find the game to be Much more pleasant on PS3. Players move smohhter hit smoother, they are moving faster. The pace of the risk shots is slower. More control and easier LT's. It has a much nicer feel to me.

Woman's game - it is like day and night! WAAAYYY faster, just great if you ask me!

If you already going to buy PS3 - buy the game too! You won't be sorry!
