I just taught myself to SV, i found it difficult at the start to serve using R1+R2+L2 but when you get the timing its well easy. Ive said many times i LOVE sv' but its difficult to win matches against 90 pow, i only use 70 pow or less on my SV. SIM is much easier to get games my match against TOMO is a good example 8) Just the other day i played VillaJ we have exactly same style  if only there were doubles.

To me, that's the easiest way to stick serve. It has nothing to do with the timing, it just puts my hand in a better position for using the stick.

I usually use buttons because my stick serving is atrocious ;D

I always use the stick because im crap with buttons, especially when holding the rush to net botton (R1, i don't know the corresponding button on xbox)

It works best when serving at the T.

I've gotten so much more comfortable with the stick that I won't risk using the buttons on 2nd serves. I use the buttons just for the extra variety of pace.
