Just Found Out I Am Not Using Risk!

Postby fedfan » Tue, 26 Jan 2010 18:37

After a few dodgy results I decided to go back to basics with Top Spin school and as the computer tells you what buttons you were pressing I discovered I am not actually hitting the trigger buttons on my ground shots.

On the serve I have no problem but I am either pressing too lightly on R2 and L2 or pressing them to late (I think it's the first one). I've never noticed before because with high power it's hard to tell but I can't believe all the times I though I risked, 95% of the time I probably wasn't.

If you press the trigger, lightly or not....you were risking.

Are you saying you "thought" you were risking and not pressed triggers :?

A bit confused here man...

I hardly touch the trigger buttons but in the School it did not show up that I was pressing them at all, except on serve. I always thought I knew when I was risking but it doesn't appear I actually was.

In the school I was having to press them really hard for it to show up and I couldn't time it at all.

Yeah word around the streets is that this risky business is considered cheesy business. It's basically the equivalent of steroidal use and other performance enhancing tactics. Word?

i use l2 risk on about 1 in 3 returns, double trigger risk on maybe a couple of returns per match. use a lot of l2 risk for volleys but hey you have to. In rallies i use little risk, maybe a double trigger if i have time to set and unleash the power. use it more now with burns though, due to his anaemic strength 8)
